Who are we?

A meeting, a passion, a project

Glacier Cycles was born in 2017, at the foot of a ski lift, during a riding day. It was there that Alexandre and Bastien met. From a simple friendship came an idea: to create the perfect enduro bike, tailored to their practice.

This project, initially personal, quickly gained momentum. In 2020, Glacier Cycles became a fully-fledged brand, driven by a shared vision of the ideal bike.

The DNA of Glacier Cycles

We wanted to design durable, sturdy, high-performance, and aesthetically pleasing bikes that can compete with the best offerings on the market. Our goal: reliable bikes with durable paint and a design intended for the long term.

Without experience in manufacturing, we have learned and trained ourselves, thanks to our complementary skills:

  • Alexandre: sports ergonomics engineer, enduro mountain bike competitor, bicycle technician.
  • Bastien: 15 years of competitive motocross, mountain bike enduro, and downhill, expert in geometries and suspensions.

After joining the Savoie Technolac incubator, we manufactured our first frame, aiming for 100% local production, even though everything started in an artisanal mode, with our own means.

The first cuts with the angle grinder

Enduro, too ambitious for a first frame, gave way to dirt, an exciting discipline perfect for testing the strength of our ideas.

Our first frame was born in a garage, hand-welded with basic tools, using a handmade template. Three months later, a functional but imperfect prototype was created. I still remember the first barspin on video call with Alex: it was approved. The first Glacier Cycles was rolling!

The project gained momentum thanks to the trust of a friend, Florian, who ordered this first frame. Today, Flo is still an ambassador, and his frame is still rolling.

In September 2022, with a dedicated space and funding, Glacier Cycles officially took off.

Our vision of craftsmanship

Bicycle craftsmanship often evokes custom-made products, long lead times, and high prices. We have chosen a more modern and accessible approach.

Our frames are produced in micro-series, with predefined sizes and geometries designed for the greatest number. Available directly on our site, with several setups and clear pricing, and a lead time of only three months.

But for those who want more, we also offer 100% custom projects, designed down to the smallest detail, for a unique machine.

Our bikes are high-performance, designed for competition, with geometries and kinematics derived from our field expertise. The goal: to combine performance, durability, and accessibility.

A true Local Made

Many brands claim to be Made in France, while the frames are actually manufactured abroad. A simple local paint job is often enough to obtain this label.

With us, it's the complete opposite. Design, cutting, welding, assembly: everything is done in Savoie, in our workshop.

No compromises, no empty talk — just genuine local expertise and complete control over quality.

When we say made in France, it's true. Not just marketing.
